EuroBonus is SAS’ loyalty program and with EuroBonus you are part of a community experiencing easy, joyful and reliable services, delivered the Scandinavian way. As a member in the EuroBonus program, you can earn points on purchases and activities offered by us and by our and SAS’ business partners that entitle you to receive personalised rewards and benefits.These EuroBonus Terms and Conditions are applicable to the EuroBonus program. By remaining or enrolling in the EuroBonus program, online or otherwise, you confirm that you accept these EuroBonus Terms and Conditions.
EuroBonus : Summary
Effective: 1 February, 2023
1.1 As a member of the EuroBonus program, you are part of our community and will, in addition to earning points on purchases and activities, experience an array of fun, reliable and personalized services and offers to help simplify your life. Our goal is to get to know you, so that we can provide you with tailored offers and services that are truly useful to you, and to filter away those that would only take up space and time.
Specifically, we would like to offer you benefits and personalized services such as:
Using your EuroBonus membership to earn points on purchases and activities with us or with EB’s and SAS’ business partners (hereafter “our business partners”), and experiencing a wider set of deals and services both when traveling but also outside traveling in your everyday life.
Personalizing our offer for your collection and use of EuroBonus points by understanding how you like to earn and spend points.
Streamlining our communication with you and primarily using preferred channels.
Providing you with relevant and personalized offers, also through our business partners, based on your preferences and behavior.
Sending you useful and real-time offers and deals at nearby stores and from our business partners at an airport terminal where we know that you are located based on your flight schedule, and primarily at stores we believe you may enjoy based on your usual preferences.
2.1 The EuroBonus program is owned and operated by Airstair 3 AB, with corporate identity number 559224-9782, under change of name to SAS EuroBonus AB, (hereafter “EB” “us” or “we”). EB is a wholly-owned subsidiary of SAS AB, with corporate identity number 556606-8499, and an affiliate of Scandinavian Airlines System Denmark- Norway-Sweden, a consortium established under the laws of Denmark, Norway and Sweden, and having its principle office at Frösundaviks allé 1, SE-195 87 Stockholm, Sweden (hereafter “SAS”).
2.2 Membership in the EuroBonus program is open to all natural persons. As a EuroBonus member, you are entitled to receive a physical or digital EuroBonus card ("EuroBonus Card"). If you are under the age of 18 years, you must have your legal guardian’s consent to join the program. The EuroBonus membership and the rights pertaining thereto are personal and for your benefit only, unless we state otherwise.
2.3 A physical EuroBonus Card is the property of the issuing card company, i.e. of EB or the payment card company.
2.4 The EuroBonus Card is personal. Only one EuroBonus membership account is permitted per person and only the member whose name appears on the EuroBonus Card is entitled to use it. The physical EuroBonus Card must be signed and is valid only if your signature (or, if applicable, your legal guardian’s signature) is written on the back of the card. The EuroBonus Card may be used only until the expiration date stated on the card.
Your membership is registered in your name, personal e-mail and stated country. “Address c/o” is not permitted and the e-mail address must be personal. The member’s name in the EuroBonus profile should be the same name as stated in the member’s passport.
2.5 If your physical EuroBonus Card is lost, stolen or destroyed, or if your digital EuroBonus Card is hijacked or your EuroBonus account is hacked, you must contact EB. If the EuroBonus Card is a combined EuroBonus and payment card, you must immediately inform the payment card company. A EuroBonus replacement card will be issued with the same membership number and expiration date as the original card.
2.6 You must notify EB in writing of any changes in your personal details that are not possible to change/add online. Upon change of name or registering of date of birth, documentation must be attached confirming the information, e.g. copy of valid passport. As soon as the new information has been verified, the documentation submitted will be destroyed.
2.7 Ordinary booking rules for flight tickets apply to all members regardless of membership level. Service benefits associated with your membership level apply only to you personally, unless we have stated otherwise.
2.8 We reserve the right to terminate the membership in cases which we deem constitute misuse. This means that previously earned but unused points and issued EuroBonus tickets/vouchers become null and void. We also reserve the right to downgrade your membership level in cases which we deem constitute misuse. Misuse may consist of unsuitable or disrespectful behaviour towards us or our business partners, our or SAS’ employees or SAS’ passengers, violation of Section 3.10 or any other EuroBonus Terms and Conditions, illegal conduct, fraud or actions that are generally regarded as immoral or unethical.
2.9 You must use the same name as stated in your passport. For combined EuroBonus and payment cards, the rules set by the respective card company also apply. When you become 18 years old, you will be given the choice to either continue the membership and keep previously earned EuroBonus points, membership level, etc. or to terminate the membership.
2.10 The personal login details are your personal responsibility. Legal guardians are responsible for minor members’ personal login details and how/when they are used. We will not reimburse you if the correct login details have been used without your approval. Personal statements regarding the EuroBonus account are available only to those who submit the correct personal login details.
2.11 EB may from time to time offer separate products and services as part of the EuroBonus program that are subject to separate terms and conditions. Such separate terms and conditions may include provisions that deviate from the terms and conditions in these EuroBonus Terms and Conditions. In case of conflict between the provisions of these EuroBonus Terms and Conditions and any such separate terms and conditions, the provisions of such separate terms and conditions shall prevail. You are responsible for keeping yourself informed of applicable rules in these EuroBonus Terms and Conditions and any such separate terms and conditions.
2.12 The EuroBonus program content, service benefits, rules regarding points and totals as well as other information displayed on the EuroBonus website apply until further notice.
2.13 These EuroBonus Terms and Conditions apply only to your EuroBonus membership. Separate conditions apply to airline carriage and any promotions which SAS may have from time to time. If you purchase a flight ticket for a flight operated by SAS, the General Terms and Conditions and Conditions of Carriage apply to the purchase and flight, respectively.
3.1 Points can be earned on activities with us and our business partners as agreed by us and our business partners. Points are registered only if your EuroBonus number is quoted correctly at the time of your activity (e.g. purchase, booking or check-in). Our business partners include airlines, travel companies and other companies that provide benefits to our EuroBonus members, including but not limited to the possibility of earning and/or using points on the companies’ products and services. The EuroBonus program has the following categories of points:
(i) “Basic Points” which can be used for award travel and other products and count towards upgrade to a higher membership level or renewal of membership level;
(ii) “Status Points” which count towards upgrade to a higher membership level or renewal of membership level but cannot be used for award travel and other products;
(iii) “Extra Points” which can be used for award travel and other products, but do not count towards upgrade to a higher membership level; and
(iv) “Qualifying Flights” which are flights operated by SAS or selected flights operated by other airlines as set out on SAS’ website and count towards upgrade to a higher membership level or renewal of membership level.
3.2 We reserve the right to determine if you earn points or not for products and services offered by us or our business partners. Irrespective of when the activity was booked, the number of points earned depends on the earning scheme applicable on the date of the activity. The number of points earned varies depending on our business partner and offer.
3.3 Unless otherwise stated, it is the rules and benefits applicable to your membership level at the time of your activity that will apply. This means that if you are downgraded or upgraded e.g. between the time of your reservation and your departure date, your membership level and the benefits and rules at the time of departure are the ones applicable to this activity.
3.4 As a EuroBonus member, you earn points on applicable flights in accordance with the booking class originally booked and paid for, regardless of upgrades or downgrades, unless we have stated otherwise. Discount tickets such as Industry Discount, Agent Discount, award tickets, standby tickets and charter tickets as well as certain discounts do not entitle you to earn points or reach a higher membership level.
If you purchase a ticket on a flight that is marketed by SAS or Star Alliance but operated by another airline (i.e. code share flight), the operating airline determines if and how many points you earn for the flight. The booking class on the ticket may differ from the booking class that the operating airline uses to determine points earned. Points cannot be earned for flights operated by an airline that is not participating in the EuroBonus program. We are not liable for delays or flights canceled due to reasons beyond our control, e.g. acts or omissions by our business partners, our business partner’s bankruptcy, the weather etc. Special rules apply to points earned through extraordinary circumstances, provided the activity has been completed.
3.5 Only you personally can earn points for your own travel or flight, regardless of who paid for the travel or activity. Infants (age 0-23 months) earn points only when they hold an own paid seat. We generally do not grant points for charter tickets and activities with SAS or our business partners, unless we have stated otherwise.
3.6 Travel and activities that took place more than six months ago cannot be retroactively registered online, unless otherwise stated. If you are a new member, you can register points retroactively online for flights that took place up to 30 days before your membership commenced. Retroactive registration can only take place online.
3.7 You are only entitled to points for which you have performed a valid activity and only for your own flights. EB may at any time correct or withdraw points for any activity or EuroBonus points wrongly registered on your EuroBonus account due to a technical error or any other malfunction. For the avoidance of doubt, such correction could also affect membership level and related benefits.
3.8 Points and benefits (including give away cards) are personal and can under no circumstances be sold, transferred, combined, inherited, refunded in cash or used for other purposes than within the EuroBonus program unless otherwise stated by EB. In case of misuse, we can confiscate points, benefits and documents. Members can be refused access to a plane, a hotel or otherwise be refused to enter into or enjoy the performance of an agreement for other products or services. If a trip has commenced or the delivery of service or product has already taken place, the passenger can be charged full price for the remainder of the trip/for the applicable purchase.
3.9 You can use your points and take advantage of offers/benefits as soon as you have a sufficient amount of valid points in your EuroBonus account, provided that at least one point qualifying activity is performed in addition to welcome/introduction bonuses. Points are valid for an additional four years after the qualification period during which they were earned. After this deadline, the points become null and void.
3.10 If you belong to several different bonus programs, you can collect points and service benefits only with one program for each leg of a flight, hotel stay, car rental or other activity, unless otherwise stated. When the points are registered, they cannot be transferred to another program.
3.11 During a hotel stay, points can be earned only for one room by one person at a time.
3.12 You do not earn points for tickets and services bought but not used, and/or for products that have been refunded.
3.13 If you do not earn any points for 24 months, we have the right to terminate your membership provided that you have no valid, usable points in your EuroBonus account.
4.1 Unless we state otherwise, membership points, awards and benefits can be used only by you personally or by your closest family.
4.2 You must ensure that personal login details are not used illegally. We are not liable for any consequences of illegal use of personal login details. You are liable for any use of, and responsible for ensuring that you are entitled to use, the points and benefits, whether you or another person is using them. Misuse is defined in Section 2.8. Tickets and documents are sent only to your registered address/email address.
4.3 The number of offers is limited and can be used subject to availability. Seats, rooms, cars etc. can be available for regular purchase even though not available for points/special offers. Some services/products and/or service benefits do not apply to trips paid wholly or partly with points.
4.4 Points cannot be used in combination with cash, discount offers, coupons or other special offers, unless we have stated otherwise. In case of rebooking and/or cancellation, only valid points are transferred back to your EuroBonus account (expired points cannot be reused) keeping their original expiry date.
4.5 Only bookings made online can be canceled online. Valid tickets/documents for canceled offers must be returned to us to obtain a refund. When booking or making changes to offers, you must take into account the opening hours of EB and/or our business partners and/or allow time for enabling delivery of the documents/items. Documents that are stolen or lost before the trip or before the offer should be used, are replaced if possible. Charges and fees may apply.
4.6 Points can be used as payment for tickets/vouchers issued only by SAS and in some cases by our business partners. Points can be used to purchase a Regular ticket wholly or partly or to purchase a EuroBonus award ticket. Different rules apply for Regular tickets and EuroBonus award tickets as described in Section 4.7 below. Travel agencies are not entitled to issue tickets/vouchers or similar in exchange for points. Additional cash fees may apply.
4.7 Unless we state otherwise: For a Regular ticket, paid wholly or partly with points, the rules for the Regular ticket apply as described in the fare rules provided when booking the Regular ticket.

Were you can find information about e.g., booking, use of points, cancellation, rebooking and applicable fees. EB may update these rules and conditions from time to time.
Taxes and fees are subject to separate terms & conditions, which are available at SAS´ website www.flysas.com. We will of course also provide information at your request.
4.8 In some countries special rules apply for the taxation of benefits within the framework of loyalty or bonus programs. These rules are defined by the legislators and apply to bonus programs in general in all airlines, hotel chains, etc. Questions on this issue should be addressed to the national tax authorities.
We accept no liability for your individual tax obligations in connection with the EuroBonus program. If you intend to earn points for activities paid for by your employer you must, in some countries, notify your employer of this in advance. Points earned through business travel cannot be used for private purposes without your employer´s permission. Please note that under Swedish and Norwegian law, state employees may not make private use of points for flight travel, hotel stays, car rental or other activities that are paid for by their employer. In principle, the same rules apply to Swedish and Norwegian public-sector employees.
5.1 Membership in the EuroBonus program requires us to process your personal data. To fulfill our commitment under these EuroBonus Terms and Conditions, it is thus necessary for us to process information that relates to you as a person.
5.2 The personal data in question is mostly information that you have provided us or SAS with, e.g. when booking a flight, but also data from our business partners and other third parties. We process this data for many different purposes relating to the performance of these EuroBonus Terms and Conditions, such as managing your EuroBonus account and travels, making your traveling with SAS easier, improving and personalizing our and SAS’ products, services, communication and offers by getting to you know you and your preferences.
5.3 Airstair 3 AB, with corporate identity number 559224-9782 and under name change to SAS EuroBonus AB, and SAS, a consortium established under the laws of Denmark, Norway and Sweden, and having its principle office at Frösundaviks allé 1, SE-195 87 Stockholm, Sweden, will jointly determine the purposes and means of the processing of your personal data as so called joint controllers within the meaning of Article 26 of the General Data Protection regulation (EU Regulation no. 2016/679). For this purpose, EB and SAS have entered into a joint-controller agreement, the essence thereof is set out here:
6.1 Except as provided for in any applicable mandatory law, we have no responsibility and shall not be liable for any cost or other damage incurred by you except as expressly stated in these EuroBonus Terms and Conditions. Further, we are not liable for any cost or damage incurred by anyone else than you. All services and benefits within the EuroBonus program and/or paid with points are subject to these EuroBonus Terms and Conditions applicable to such services and benefits.
6.2 For the avoidance of doubt EB has no responsibility for SAS flights. SAS is responsible only for the part that involves the SAS flight itself in accordance with SAS’ conditions of carriage and service terms. All arrangements, benefits and services in addition to the SAS flight are beyond SAS’ responsibility.
6.3 Applicable fees, taxes and charges e.g. service fees, airport taxes, local taxes etc. are paid by you and are charged separately. If you fail to pay or question the requirement to pay such fees, taxes or charges that accrue to us or SAS, points cannot be used for the flight/activity in question until payment has been made.
6.4 If you are a legal guardian of a member under the age of 18 years, you are responsible for ensuring that the minor follows the applicable EuroBonus Terms and Conditions. You are also responsible for the minor’s use of trips, offers and benefits.
6.5 We reserve the right to change these EuroBonus Terms and Conditions. We will in such case well in advance and in clear terms communicate the upcoming changes, so that you can choose to terminate your EuroBonus membership if you do not agree to the changes.
6.6 You can at any time request termination of the membership. Should you decide to terminate your membership, we invite you to spend any EuroBonus points on e.g. the products or services on www.flysas.com before you terminate the membership. Once you have terminated your membership, you will no longer be able to earn or use EuroBonus points.
6.7 EB is entitled to terminate or replace the EuroBonus program with one month’s notice. If the EuroBonus program is terminated due to legislation, court orders, orders from public authorities or the like, the EuroBonus program can be terminated immediately without notice and earned points will expire immediately without compensation of any kind.
6.8 If one of our business partners is declared bankrupt, or is otherwise unable to fulfill its undertakings towards us or our EuroBonus members, retroactive claims cannot be made and we will determine how and if points for booked but unused trips are transferred back to your EuroBonus account.
6.9 You may not, wholly or partly, assign or otherwise dispose of your rights and/or obligations under these EuroBonus Terms and Conditions without our prior written consent. Similarly, we may not assign or otherwise dispose of our rights and/or obligations under these EuroBonus Terms and Conditions without your consent. This notwithstanding, we may assign our rights and obligations under these EuroBonus Terms and Conditions without your approval to i) any affiliate of us or SAS-, or ii) an entity which acquires all or substantially all of the assets related to the EuroBonus program.
7.1 To the extent permissible by local law or regulation, these EuroBonus Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with Swedish law. Both parties submit, to the extent permitted by local law or regulation, to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the district court of Stockholm to resolve any dispute that may arise out of these EuroBonus Terms and Conditions.
7.2 Any provision of these EuroBonus Terms and Conditions declared void or unenforceable by any competent authority or court shall, to the extent of such invalidity or unenforceability, be deemed severable and shall not affect the other provisions remaining which shall continue unaffected.
