SAS strongly recommends passengers to keep updated and read the latest entry requirements of their destination. Do this even if you are a citizen or resident of that destination – or if you’re just transferring and getting a connecting flight.

BELGIUM(Updated 27JAN21)
Non-essential trips in and out of Belgium are prohibited from Wednesday 27 January to Monday 1 March 2021.
Only essential travel is allowed during this period, i.e. travel for:
1. Compelling family reasons
• Family reunification
• Visits to a spouse or partner who does not live under the same roof, insofar as the stable and long-term character of the relationship can be proven
• Journeys in the context of co-parenting, civil and religious marriages, funerals or cremations (of relatives or next of kin).
2. Humanitarian reasons
• Travel for medical reasons and continuation of medical treatment
• Assistance or care to an elderly person, minor, disabled or vulnerable person
• Visiting relatives receiving palliative care.
3. Study purposes
• Journeys by pupils, students and trainees as part of a student exchange program
• Researchers with a hosting agreement.
4. Residents of border areas
• Journeys as part of everyday activities that are also allowed in Belgium
5. Professional reasons when performing work-related activities
6. Miscellaneous
• Animal care, travel in the context of legal obligations (insofar as these cannot be done online), urgent repairs in the context of vehicle safety and a house move are also considered essential.
All passengers travelling to or from Belgium will be required to carry a Sworn Statement Form.
Passengers must fill out, sign and carry the documents with them during the entire journey. Passengers in absence of Sworn statement will be Denied Boarding. Download the form here.
All passengers travelling to Belgium and staying at least 48 hours are obligated to fill in a Passenger Locator Form (PLF) beforehand, regardless of their departure point and nationality. Passengers failing to comply with this obligation shall be denied to board. The PLF is available in an electronic version here.
All passengers from the age of 12, who arrives on Belgian territory from the red zone and who does not have a main residence in Belgium, must have a negative Coronavirus COVID-19 (PCR) test result. The test must be taken at most 72 hours before the first point of departure to Brussels and Belgian territory. SAS will check the test results prior to boarding – failure to obtain a negative Coronavirus COVID-19 (PCR-test) will result in denied boarding from the flight.
Any costs in connection with refused entrance will be imposed on the passenger.
CHINA
Requirements for customers traveling to China:
Please note that entry restrictions may be subject to change on short notice. You are responsible for ensuring that you are allowed entry into the country you are travelling from, to or are in transit through.- All Foreign passengers must hold a visa that has been issued after 28MAR2020. See IATA website for exemptions and more info.
- All passengers (including Chinese nationals) are required to complete an electronic Customs Health Declaration Form prior to travel and show proof of having completed the form before boarding. The proof must also be shown to authorities upon arrival in China. The proof is a print/ or screenshot of the QR code that you receive when you have completed the electronic declaration.
- You complete the form via one of the following channels: WeChat, Mobile App (Android/ iOS versions available), or http://health.customsapp.com/home/pages/index/index.html
- Please complete your Electronic Health Declaration form only after you have checked-in on your flight to China, as you will need to enter your actual seat number in the form. The health declaration is only valid for a limited time, so don’t complete the form to early, especially if you have long transfer time in Copenhagen. Please have the QR code (you receive the QR code when you have completed the Health declaration form) available, as you must present it to the airline at the time of boarding the flight from Copenhagen to China. You can see what documents you need here.
- Please note that the online form does not accept all email addresses (you need to submit your email address to receive the required QR-code). If you are not able to complete the online declaration successfully, kindly use WeChat or download the Mobile App.
Updated requirements for coronavirus testing
- All passengers traveling from Copenhagen to China must hold a negative COVID-19 nucleic acid test result and a negative IgM anti-body test. Both tests must be issued at most (earliest) 48 hours before departure.
- All passengers traveling in transfer via Copenhagen to China must hold an additional negative Coronavirus (COVID-19) nucleic acid test and a negative IgM anti-body test issued at most (earliest) 48 hours before departure. This additional test must be taken at a facility in the transit country (CPH, Denmark).
- The COVID-19 nucleic acid test and the negative IgM anti-body test shall be carried out at a facility designated or recognized by the overseas Chinese Embassy/ Consulate in the country where you start your journey (please contact the local Chinese Embassy for details). - You must send information regarding your negative COVID-19 test and the negative IgM anti-body test together with a scanned copy of your passport and flight details (via email or WeChat), to the local Chinese embassy/consulate in the country where you start your jorney.
- A special Health Code (for Chinese nationals) or an Embassy endorsed Health Declaration Form (for foreign nationals) must be obtained from the local Chinese Embassy/Consulate before travel.
- SAS will check the health codes/forms at time of boarding – failure to obtain a health code/form from the embassy prior to travel or holding a code/form that will expire before the person arrives in China, will result in denied boarding from the flight. You can see description and pictures over the required documents here.
- Note: As of 07NOV2020, if you travel to China via Copenhagen, you need to get tested for Coronavirus and get a negative test result, not only in the country of your departure, but also at your transit airport. For test facilities see below.
- Due to this requirement, plan enough time to obtain and validate the two Covid-19 tests by the Embassy in the transit country (including waiting time).
- Customer from domestic flights in Denmark transferring to flights from Copenhagen to China are not required to be tested at Copenhagen airport if you already have a test not older than 48 hours from your origin destination in Denmark.
- A temperature check will be performed at the departure gate in Copenhagen.
- Those not fulfilling the health requirements set by the Chinese authorities and those showing symptoms of COVID-19 will be denied boarding.
- Upon arrival in China you will be tested for COVID-19 and you will be quarantined for 14 days at your own cost in designated places.
- Designated Testing Service Copenhagen Airport: There are designated test facilities (Falck) for PCR test and IgM antibody test at Copenhagen Airport.

Note: Due to the requirements from the Chinese authorities there will be an embargo for Animal in luggage compartment (AVIH), Pet in cabin (PETC) and wheelchair, when unescorted (WCHC - Passenger is completely immobile), for travel to Shanghai (PVG). The embargo is valid until further (upd 06OCT20).
CROATIAAll passengers must fill out a Health Passenger Locator Form (PLF) digitally before arrival in Croatia.
CYPRUS
All Passengers from 12 years of age traveling from Denmark and Sweden must have a medical certificate stating a negative Coronavirus (COVID-19) test result issued at most 72 hours before departure and passengers must apply for The electronic Travel Card (CyprusFlightPass). Children up to 12 years are exempted from doing the test.
The Travel Card must have been applied for within 24 hours before the commencement of the trip to the Republic of Cyprus.
In order to obtain the CyprusFlightPass a passenger must: 1. Create an account 2. Enter his/her personal details 3. Add the flight details 4. Make solemn declarations. More information.
DENMARK(Updated 20JAN21)
Effective immediately until 07FEB2021
The Danish Government has decided to tighten its travel guidelines and all countries/ destinations worldwide are treated as high-risk countries.
Only Nationals of Denmark and Residents in Denmark are allowed to entry.
Exceptions for the following categories of passengers that are allowed to entry:
- Nationals and residents of Denmark
- Foreigners working in Denmark
- Aircraft crew members, diplomats, offshore worker of belonging to another category of persons mentioned in Annex VII of the Schengen Border Control
- Seaman signing on or off in Denmark in connection with a crew change
- Passenger traveling in transfer via Denmark with a connecting flight to a third country
- Personnel transporting goods to ensure security of supply in Denmark and other countries and other personnel in the transport sector to the necessary extent, (including Airline crew)
- Foreign passengers living in another country than Denmark, with special needs;
(As special needs are considered: Persons who act as the primary caregiver for minor children in Denmark, persons who are close relatives to visit serious sick family member, illness or death, burial and burial of the urn, as well as estate records after such a relative. By close relative is meant, for example: spouse, registered partner, cohabitant, children, parents, siblings, parents in law, grandchildren and grandparents).Note: Flights from Greenland and the Faroe Islands are exempted.

All passengers over 12 years of age, traveling from/ via All destinations to Denmark, or, Passengers traveling in transfer via Denmark with a connecting flight to a third country, must present a Medical certificate with a negative Coronavirus (COVID-19) test result (PCR or Antigen test), from a test performed within 24 hours prior to departure. This must be controlled by the airline before boarding. The certificate must be in Danish, English, French, German, Icelandic, Italian, Norwegian, Spanish or Swedish. Notes: Antibody test is not accepted. Passengers traveling in trasfer via Denmark to a third country must also present a test result. Flights from Greenland and the Faroe Islands are exempted.
For passengers transiting in one or more airports, the test shall be performed within 24 hours prior to boarding the first flight or in a transit airport.
The requirement for a negative COVID-19 test result does not apply to:
- Passengers 12 years or less
- Passenger presenting a Positive Coronavirus (COVID-19), PCR or Antigen test result from a test performed between 14 days and 8 weeks prior to the flight. Note: Antibody tests is not accepted.Passengers that cannot show a negative COVID-19 test maximum 24 hours old, or a positive COVID-test (minimum 14 days old or maximum 8 weeks old) shall be denied boarding.
All persons entering Denmark are advised to immediately take a rapid test upon arrival in Denmark at one of the free rapid test facilities available upon entry. Children under and up to 12 years old are exempt from this advice.
Danish and foreign persons entering the country are advised to self-isolate for 10 days. This self-isolation can be broken upon receipt of a negative result from a PCR test taken no earlier than on the fourth day after entry.
Any costs in connection with refused entrance will be imposed on the passenger.
Departures from Copenhagen airport:
Due to Covid regulations in some countries, CPH airport has restricted the use of online check-in and check-in kiosks at the airport to some destinations.
Note: Destinations concerned may change very rapidly. It is reviewed and updated on an ongoing basis.
ESTONIA
Effective from 1 September 2020, anyone who arrive to Estonia from countries in which the risk of being infected with COVID-19 is higher can have themselves tested for coronavirus at the airport in order to reduce the duration of the period in which they are required to self-isolate. Testing is free of charge for residents of Estonia, whilst visitors can pay on-site by credit or debit card.
Only adults are tested. Children and adults who do not take test are still subject to 14-day restriction on freedom of movements. More information.
FINLAND
From 28 September 2020 internal border control and the restrictions on entry into Finland has been re-introduced for Sweden and other countries where the incidence of new cases has exceeded 25 new cases per 100,000 persons in the previous 14 days. More information.
GERMANY
All passengers must register their address and travel details digitally at www.einreiseanmeldung.de before starting their travel back to Germany if they have been in a risk area in the last ten days.
Sweden, parts of Denmark and parts of Norway are at present considered risk areas.
In exceptional cases when a digital registration is not possible, a substitute manual registration "Ersatzmitteilung" (PLF) is to be filled in.Passengers entering Germany that have visited a high-risk area will be required to self-quarantine for 10 days after entry.

GREECE
(Updated 15DEC20)
All passengers over the age of 10 (10 years and older), traveling to Greece, must have a Medical Certificate with a negative molecular Coronavirus (COVID-19) PCR test result, by taking an oropharyngeal or nasopharyngeal smear, conducted up to 72 hours before arrival in Greece. The certificate must be in english end include the name and the passport number or identiy number. https://travel.gov.gr/
- SAS will check the Medical Certificates at time of boarding – failure to obtain a negative molecular Coronavirus (COVID-19) PCR test, will result in denied boarding from the flight.
- You are required to complete an online Passenger Locator Form (PLF) prior to travel. The form must be completed the day before you enter Greece in order to obtain a QR-code, which shall be presented to SAS at the time of boarding and to the authorities upon arrival in Greece. One PLF should be submitted per family.
- Please register at https://travel.gov.gr/ preferable via tablet (IPAD/ Android) or phone. You must provide detailed information on your point of departure, the duration of previous stays in other countries and your address/hotel name in Greece, passport/ID-card details, email address and flight information. The QR code will be provided in a link in the confirmation email.
- Providing false information may result in a fine being imposed on the passenger. Arriving in Greece without having submitted an online Passenger Locator Form (PLF) in advance will result in the passenger being fined and denied entry.
From 18th December 2020, all passengers, regardless of nationality and country of origin, are required to remain in isolation under quarantine for precautionary reasons for three days upon arrival at their place of residence. If stay is shorter than 3 days, the restriction applies for that period. Individuals violating the measure will get a fine.
ICELAND
The Icelandic authorities require all arrivals from risk areas must undergo Quarantine. At this specific moment, all countries and territories of the world are considered risk areas. Quarantine duration after travel from risk areas is 14 days, but by undergoing a test for COVID-19 on arrival to Iceland and again after 5 days. This period may be shortened.
A fee is charged for the test payable on registration or at the border when the first sample is collected. The second test is included in this charge. Passengers are required to fill out an electronical pre-registration form before arrival, adhere to rules regarding infection control and are encouraged to download the tracing app, Rakning C-19. The pre-registration form is FOUND here.
Children born 2005 or later are exempt from pre-registration, testing and quarantine related to travel.
IRELAND(Updated 23JAN21)
1. All passengers from 7 years of age, must have a Medical Certificate negative Coronavirus (COVID-19) RT-PCR test result. The test must have been taken at most 72 hours before arrival.
This does not apply to:
-children younger than 7 years
-merchant seamen
Note: Passengers arriving in Ireland without a proof of a negative test result, or a valid exemption, commit an offence and could be fined not exceeding Euro 2500, or imprisonment for a term not exceeding 6 months, or both.2. Passengers who are 16 years or older, must complete a COVID-19 Passenger Locator Form. The form must be completed in advance of travel or before arrival.

Once completed, an email confirmation will be sent to the passenger, who must present this to an Immigration Officer at Passport Control upon arrival.3. Passenger could be subject for self-isolation for 14 days. A list of self-isolation exemptions can be found here

ITALY
All Passengers must fill out a “Self-Declaration Police Form” and a “All Passenger Italian Entry Form” before arrival in Italy.
The forms will be distributed onboard the flight. The Self-declaration Police Form, shall be handed by the passenger to the Police Authorities upon arrival in Italy.All passengers must have a Medical Certificate with a negative Coronavirus (COVID-19) test (molecular or antigenic test) taken at most 48 hours before arrival. The Medical certificate shall be shown upon arrival. However if you arrive in Italy without a Medical certificate with a negative Coronavirus test, you must self-isolate (quarantine) for 14 days.
Passengers that travel to Italy with a reason to work, study, official sport or other urgent, are excepted from the requirement with a Medical certificate with a negative Coronavirus test, for a stay up to 120 hours (5 days). If staying longer, also these passenger groups need a Medical certificate with a negative Coronavirus test.
From 21DEC2020-06JAN2020, applies in addition to the requirement regarding a Medical certificate with a negative Coronavirus test, that all passengers must self-isolate (quarantine) for 14 days.
Passengers that travel to Italy with a reason to work, study, official sport or other urgent, are still excepted from the requirement with a Medical certificate with a negative Coronavirus test, described above.For more information read here.
LITHUANIA
All passengers arriving to Lithuania will have to fill out the passenger locator form. The form can be completed online - https://keleiviams.nvsc.lt/en/form. When passenger has completed the form online, the passenger will have received an QR code. This does not apply to transit passengers
Passengers that are citizens of North Ireland, Wales, Scotland, Lichtenstein and Switzerland and traveling with SAS to Lithuania, must present a negative PCR test (COVID19) performed at the earliest 48 hours prior to arrival in Lithuania. Passengers can also register themselves to take the test no later than 24 hours after arrival in Lithuania by calling the Coronavirus Hotline at 1808 or any other COVID-19 laboratory. Self-isolation is mandatory until negative test result is obtained.

NETHERLANDS
All passengers over the age of 13 years old travelling to/via/from Dutch airports are required to complete and sign a Health Declaration Form before departure. The form contains questions about the presence of symptoms which could be related to coronavirus disease (COVID-19). The form is available in Dutch, English, French and Spanish. The passenger must be able to present a printed or digital version of the form upon request.
To print or download the form use the this link.ALL passengers over the age of 13 years old (including Dutch citizens/residents and transit passengers) arriving in Amsterdam will be required to produce a negative PCR (COVID-19) Test Certificate. The test should be completed no earlier than 72 hours before arrival in the Netherlands.
The NEGATIVE Test certificate must:
- be a molecular PCR test (COVID-19)
- be in Dutch, English, French, German or Spanish
- include the passenger’s first and last names as stated in their passport
- include the date and time of the test (max 72hours before arrival in the Netherlands)
- include the details/signature/stamp of the institute/laboratory where the test was performed.
- be presented in a printed version not digitally.

Passengers arriving from outside EU/Schengen countries must also print, complete and present a Negative Test Declaration. To print the form use this link.Failure to present a valid negative test certificate or declaration before departure will result in the passenger being refused to board the aircraft and will not be allowed to travel.
Passengers with the Netherlands as their final destination are strongly advised to self-quarantine for 10 days immediately after arriving in the Netherlands.
NORWAY
(updated 26JAN21)
All passengers from 12 years of age, who in the last 10 days prior to arrival in Norway have stayed in Austria, Brazil, Ireland, Netherlands, Portugal, South Africa or the United Kingdom, are subject to Coronavirus (COVID-19 (PCR-test) upon arrival in Norway.
Passengers from 12 years of age, are subject to a Coronavirus (COVID-19) antigen or PCR test upon arrival.
All passengers from 12 years of age must present a Medical Certificate of a negative Coronavirus (COVID-19) PCR test result or Antigen test result. The test must have been taken 24 hours before departure from the first embarkation point. The Medical Certificate must be issued in English, Danish, French, German, Norwegian or Swedish. Exceptions for Norwegian citizens, residents in Norway, persons in transit, persons with a confirmed (laboratory tested) COVID-19 infection within the last six months, persons who regularly travel / commute to Norway from Sweden or Finland in order to work or study, etc. For a complete list see: Coronavirus in Norway: Travel advice - helsenorge.no
Passengers are only allowed to travel to Svalbard after they have stayed in quarantine in other parts of Norway, passengers arriving in Norway from a red area/ country need to complete their full quarantine period in mainland Norway prior to travelling to Svalbard (LYR). This applies to all who want to travel to Svalbard, including residents. For more information see: Governor of Svalbard (sysselmannen.no)
All passengers arriving in Norway must register their arrival.
All Passengers must either fill in a Self-Declaration Form online or print out and fill in the Self-Declaration Form, to be submitted to the border control upon arrival in Norway. The self-declaration form can be found and downloaded here: Registration of arrival to Norway - regjeringen.noAll passengers from high risk countries are subject to quarantine for 10 days as well as a confirmed quarantine accommodation for the period of intended stay. PORTUGAL
All passengers traveling to Portugal must provide an online Passenger Locator Card (PLC) prior to travel.
Please take with you a print or a screenshot of the PLC confirmation document, that you receive via email once you have completed the online PLC-form.
You will be required to show the print/screenshot to the gate agent at the departure gate and to the authorities upon arrival.
The PLC is available in an electronic version, in English and in Portugese.SPAIN
All passengers traveling to Spain must fill in "FCS Health Control Form" online. Please register here: www.spth.gob.es or via free App SPAIN TRAVEL HEATLH -SPTH. On completion of the form a QR code will be generated. In order to receive this QR-code, information about a negative Coronavirus (COVID-19) PCR test or TMA test (Molecular test) performed up to 72 hours before arrival, must be entered in the form. The QR code has to be presented at boarding and arrival at airport in Spain.
All passengers from 6 years of age must also present a Medical Certificate of a negative Coronavirus (COVID-19) PCR test result or a TMA test (Molecular test) result, upon arrival in Spain.This document must be the original (no copies) and in English or Spanish and may be presented in paper or electronic format.
Exception: This does not apply to passengers arriving from Agder, Innlandet, More and Romsdal, Nordland, Rogaland, Troms and Finnmark, Trondelag and Vestfold and Telemark in Norway, Notio Aigaio in Greece, Faroe Islands or Greenland.Passengers who come from a high-risk country and that are not able to present a QR code or a Medical Certificate, stating a negative PCR test (COVID-19), may be denied boarding.
CANARY ISLANDS
The same rules as above.
SWEDEN(updated 25JAN21)
Effective until 14 February 2021
Entry restrictions on all flights from Denmark, Norway and United Kingdom to Sweden set by order of the Swedish Government.
Only Nationals of Sweden, Residents in Sweden and foreigners working in Sweden are allowed to entry.Exceptions for the following categories of passengers that are allowed to entry:
- Diplomatic officials and salaried consular officials employed in Sweden by foreign states and their families and employees
- Foreign courier’s
- Personnel transporting goods and other personnel in the transport sector to the necessary extent
- Persons working in international organizations, or are invited of such organizations and who’s presence is necessary for the organizations activities
- Military personnel and relief workers.
- Persons who live or perform medical work on Bornholm and who must travel through Sweden.
- Children under 18 years of age, travelling to be with a parent who lives in Sweden or on Bornholm, and the person accompanying the child on such trips
- Persons who have urgent/ special family reasons. As special reasons are considered close relatives, more serious illness or death, burial and burial of the urn, as well as estate records after such a relative. By close relative is meant, for example: spouse, registered partner, cohabitant, children, parents, siblings, parents in law, grandchildren and grandparents.

ENTRY RESTRICTIONS FOR SAS FLIGHTS FROM UNITED KINGDOM TO SWEDEN
In addition to above restrictions the following apply.
Entry restrictions on all flights from United Kingdom to Sweden set by order of the Swedish Government.Passengers residing in Sweden and arriving from the United Kingdom must have a Medical Certificate with a negative Coronavirus (COVID-19) result, (PCR test or Antigen test). Antibody test not accepted. The test must have been taken at most 72 hours before arrival. This does not apply to nationals of Sweden.
Passengers that cannot show a Medical Certificate with a negative Coronavirus test must be denied boarding.
Test results should be provided by an authorized laboratory. It is the traveler’s responsibility to document that the laboratory used is authorized in the operating country. List over authorized UK laboratories: List of private providers of coronavirus testing - GOV.UK (www.gov.uk)
The following categories are exempted from the requirement of negative Coronavirus test.- Citizens of Sweden
- Personnel transporting goods and other personnel in the transport sector
- Children under 18 years of age, traveling to be with a parent who lives in Sweden or on Bornholm and the person accompanying the child on such trips

SWITZERLAND
From 6 July 2020, people arriving in Switzerland from certain countries and areas will be required to go into quarantine, for 10 days.

UKRAINE
In order to prevent the spread of the second wave of acute respiratory disease COVID-19 on the territory of Ukraine, there was decided to introduce temporary restrictions on entry into Ukraine for foreigners between 28 August 2020 until 28 September 2020. Read more.
UNITED KINGDOM

Effective 0400 UTC 15JAN2021 until further notice
It is a grace period from 15JAN-18JAN 04:00 UTC. From 18JAN2021 04:00, fines will be imposed.The following restrictions apply:
- Passengers who have been in or transited through Angola, Botswana, Eswatini (Swaziland), Lesotho, Malawi, Mauritius, Mozambique, Namibia, Seychelles, South Africa, Zambia or Zimbabwe in the past 10 days are not allowed to enter.
This does not apply to, British nationals, nationals of Ireland (Rep), residents of the United Kingdom.
- All passengers (including UK citizens) over 11 years of age, traveling from/ via All destinations to United kingdom or, Passengers traveling in transfer via United Kingdom with a connecting flight to a third country, must present a Medical certificate with a negative Coronavirus (COVID-19) test result (PCR, LAMP or Antigen test), from a test performed within 72 hours prior to departure. The Certificate must be in English, French or Spanish. The Medical Certificate shall be controlled by the airline before boarding.
Passengers that cannot show a negative COVID-19 test shall be denied boarded. Passengers arriving in England without a proof of a negative test result could be fined £500.
Exceptions:
The following categories of passengers do not need to present a negative COIVD-19test
- Passengers that begins their journey from
- Ireland, Northern Ireland, Scotland, Wales, the Isle of Man, Jersey or Guernsey
- Ascension, Falkland Islands, St Helena - For a limited time period passenger don’t need a test if they begin the jorney to England from – Antigua and Barbuda, St Lucia or Barbados (until 04am Thursday 21JAN2021, Passenger needs a test to travel on, or after this date)
- Children under 11 years of age
- For urgent medical treatment or are accompanying someone who is traveling for urgent medical treatment, and it is not reasonably practicable for you to obtain a negative COVID-19 test in the 3 days before departure
- If passenger has a medical condition which means that they cannot take a test – they must present a not from a medical practitioner at check-in or gate and to Border Force staff upon arrival in England
- People doing the following jobs: Border and customs officials, channel and tunnel system workers, hauliers, air, maritime and rail crew, civil aviation inspectors, people transporting human cells and blood products, seamen and masters and inspectors of ships, specialist technical workers doing emergency works.

- To protect your health and others’, all passengers must complete an online passenger locator form before arrival in the United Kingdom. On completion of the form, a QR code will be automatically generated. Passengers must present the QR code with date of submission not older than 48 hours before travel date at the airport.
- All passengers may be required to self-isolate for 10 days on arrival. Check the exempt countries list shortly before you travel as this list can change at short notice.
- It is a legal requirement that you wear a face covering on public transport in the UK.
4. If you are required to self-isolate, you may be able to shorten the self-isolation period by opting into a

Passengers who have transited or have been in Austria, Belgium, Brazil, China (Peoples Republic.), Czechia, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Iran, Ireland (Rep.), Italy, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxemburg, Malta, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, or in the United Kingdom (excluding overseas territories outside of Europe), in the past 14 days are not allowed to enter and transit.
Note: This does not apply to:
- Nationals and permanent residents of the USA;
- Spouses of nationals and of permanent residents of the USA. They must have a marriage certificate;
- Parents/ legal guardians of an unmarried and younger than 21 years national or permanent resident of the USA;
- The unmarried and younger than 21 years brother or and sister of permanent resident of the USA, who is unmarried and younger than 21 years;
- The child/ foster child/ ward of a national or permanent resident of the USA.

The following apply:
- All passengers traveling to the USA, must have a Medical certificate with a negative Coronavirus (COVID-19) viral antigen or NAAT (Nucleic Acid Amplification) test result. The documentation must also include sufficient verification information such as name and contact information for the laboratory or healthcare personnel who performed the test.
- The test must have been taken at most 3 days (72 hours) before departure from the first embarkation point.
- The test result must specify “negative” or “not detected”, if marked “invalid” it is not accepted
- Passenger Details (e.g. name and date of birth) in the certificate must match those stated in the passport or other travel document
Exemption: The requirement of a negative COVID-19 test does not apply to:
- Passengers with a Medical certificate with a positive Coronavirus (COVID-19) test result issued at most 90 days before departure from the first embarkation point; and a letter issued by a health authority stating that the passenger has been cleared for travel. The test result must specify “positive” or “detected”, if marked “invalid” it is not accepted.
- Passengers younger than 2 years of age
- US Military personnel
- Crew members of airlines or other aircraft operators provided that they follow industry standard protocols for the prevention of COVID-19 as set forth in relevant Safety Alerts for Operators (SAFOs) issued by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA).4
- Federal law enforcement personnel while on official duty and carrying out a law enforcement function (e.g. DEPA/ DEPU & persons in Lawful Custody) and members of the U.S. military (including aircraft operators), when traveling under competent orders-provided that the authority ordering the travel requires precautions to prevent the possible transmission of infection to others during the travel period in accordance with CDC guidance.

- All passengers 2 years of age or older must provide a separate attestation.

Unless otherwise permitted by law, a parent or other authorized individual should attest on behalf of a passenger aged 2 to 17 years. - The personal identifiers (e.g., name and date of birth) must match the personal identifiers on the passenger's passport or other travel documents.

PCR test/travel certificate in Sweden and Norway
Are you planning to travel and need a certificate proving you are fit to travel? Some countries require a negative corona test result (PCR test) and a medical certificate before you can board the aircraft or to enter the country. Some countries require it for transit as well (e.g. Denmark).

Frequently asked questions
1."Is it SAS that checks the Covid-19 test results and/or travel certificate and afterwards decides if I can get on the plane?"
Answer: This is difficult to answer directly as it depends on the destination you are flying to. Some countries require the airline to check this prior to departure, in other countries it is checked only upon arrival to the destination and some require both on departure and on arrival.
2. "I don't have a test because my final destination says I don't need it. However, I’m not flying directly, can I still go through my transit?"
Answer: Most often you can go through transit and a confirmed Covid-19 test is not needed when in transit. However, there are exceptions such as when travelling through China, Denmark and some other countries. Please make sure to check what requirements are needed for your trip before travelling.
3. "I've been denied boarding, what happens now?"
Answer: The passenger is always responsible for finding out what requirements apply to documents (passport, visa, etc.). You are also responsible for adhering to what entry requirements apply to vaccinations and, which also includes the requirements that apply due to Covid-19. If a customer is denied boarding due to the absence of entry documents, the customer may rebook according to the ticketing rules. If the ticket is not re-bookable, the customer is responsible for purchasing new tickets. The same rules apply if the customer is denied entry to a country i.e ticket rules apply. Mandatory to wear a face mask

Mandatory face mask
All passengers from 6 years of age, must wear facemask on all SAS flights from boarding, during the entire flight until disembarking. Passengers without a face mask will be denied boarding.
SAS recommends that passengers bring masks in order to change the mask after four hours of use, as well as bringing along extra masks. It is important to be aware that you may be required to wear a mask at your destination.It is the traveler’s responsibility to bring their own face mask. SAS approves facemasks, covering mouth and nose, that are manufactured and intended for medical use, or of a similar standard. Homemade masks are not allowed.

Mandatory face mask at Copenhagen airportFrom 15 June 2020 is it mandatory to wear face mask or visors in all terminals at Copenhagen airport.
Spain
Effective from 4 May 2020 it's mandatory to wear a mouth and nose protection mask when traveling from a Spanish airport. The police will not let any passengers board the aircraft without a mask. Wearing a protection mask will also be mandatory for all staff working at the airport.
A text message will be sent to all passengers departing from a Spanish airport.

Buy new ticket without change fee in SAS Plus

From 01 July 2020 we have increased our flexibility rules so that you can rebook free of charge in all SAS Plus ticket types except for tickets to/from USA and Asia and travel within Norway. The offer is valid on all SAS operated flights except for SAS charter flights.
The rebooking fee will be removed for bookings made in SAS Plus Smart during this period. You still have to pay the fare difference if the new ticket is more expensive than your original one.

Rebook trip without a change fee for bookings made between 05 March-30 June 2020

If you have booked a ticket between 5 March – 30 June 2020 you can rebook your flight once without having to pay a rebooking fee. If you opt to rebook, you can choose a new travel date anytime before 16 August 2021. Rebooking must be made before departure and latest by 30 November 2020 whichever comes first.
Please note that you still have to pay the fare difference if the new ticket is more expensive than your original one. The offer is valid on all SAS operated flights except for SAS charter flights.
Please note that you can only rebook to a new flight 361 days ahead. If you want to travel later than 361 days ahead you will need to wait until later to rebook your flight.Rebooking is only possible to and from the same destination as your original booking

Cancel trip and get a SAS Travel Voucher

We allow any customer traveling on an international flight, to cancel their booking and receive a voucher in the value equivalent to their original booking. The offer is not available on domestic flights.
Please note that the voucher must be requested at least 3 days before scheduled outbound departure. To apply for the voucher go to My Bookings.
The voucher is valid for 12 months from the date of issue. It can be used to book a new flight to any of our destinations or to buy travel extras. If you applied and received a voucher before April 22, the old limitation of 30 November will be removed, and your voucher will automatically have the new validity of 12 months.
To be eligible to apply for the voucher, you must have made your booking through SAS' website or SAS Customer Service. Not valid for bookings paid partly or fully with EuroBonus points.
The SAS Travel Voucher:
- can be used by you or another traveler.
- is valid for trips to any SAS destination.
- is valid to use as payment within 1 year after the date of issue.
- can be used via SAS's website or SAS Customer Service.
- can be used as full or partial payment for a new trip and any remaining value will remain on the voucher until it expires.
- is non-refundable.

Apply for a refund based on the ticket rules
If you don't want to travel, and your flight is not canceled, you can apply for cancellation and refund according to your ticket rules. Most of SAS tickets are refundable except for SAS Go Light and SAS Go Smart. If you cancel a SAS Go Light or SAS Go Smart ticket only taxes will be refunded. The ticket price and domestic/international surcharges will not be refunded. Your ticket details can be found in your confirmation e-mail (Electronic Ticket Itinerary and Receipts).

Rebook trip without a change fee for bookings made on/after 20 October 2020
If you have booked an International flight ticket on/after 20 October 2020 you can rebook your flight without having to pay a rebooking fee. SAS is offering rebooking free of charge for all International flights until 72 hours before departure. Within 72 hours from departure ordinary ticket rules applies. Changes to our services

Carry-on
Due to the current situation SAS has decided to temporarily limit the allowed amount of carry-on, starting on 11 May.
To help speed up the boarding process and reduce the risk of cramped situations onboard SAS is for the time being limiting the number of allowed carry-on items to 1 per person. This means that you can no longer bring an additional personal item, such as a lap top or hand bag on top of your carry-on.
- 1 piece of carry-on per person allowed.
- Carry-on maximum size is 55 cm x 40 cm x 23 cm (length x width x depth).
- Carry-on maximum weight is 8 kg.
- We recommend that the carry-on is placed under the seat in front of you.
This change applies to all ticket types and booking classes.

Domestic Transfer in Oslo re-opens
The service is applicable for passengers travelling with SAS, (Wideroe or Norwegian) who have a “through ticket/onward ticket” from an International origin, continuing on a Domestic flight with SAS, (Wideroe or Norwegian) the same day, having a ticket to final destination and baggage checked to the final domestic destination. The baggage will be transferred directly to next domestic flight if it is tagged to final destination.
All passengers who travel with cabin baggage only can use Domestic Transfer.
All passengers who travel with checked baggage to the final Norwegian domestic destination can use Domestic Transfer.

Fast Track
SAS Fast Track at Copenhagen airport will be closed from 02 December onwards. We offer our passengers who have the opportunity to use SAS Fast Track access through CPH Express instead.
Fast track will open at Stockholm-Arlanda and Gothenburg-Landvetter 01 September 2020.
Fast Track in Oslo, Bergen, Stavanger, Trondheim and Aalesund will open 18 November 2020, Bodoe 01 December 2020 and Tromsoe 15 December 2020. -
Food and beverages
Effective from December 1st, on all flights to/from and within Scandinavia from 50 min flight time, passengers in SAS Plus will be offered a complimentary breakfast box on flights until 9.00am. The rest of the day, a polar roll (only on EU flights over 80 min) or a limited café assortment, with one soft drink of choice from cart will be offered, available on flights from 50min. For passengers in SAS Go, a Breakfast box can be preordered on flights over 60 min and until 9.00 am. After breakfast, and on flights over 50 min, soft drinks and limited snack assortment is available for purchase throughout the day. Due to restrictions we are currently not able to offer food and beverages on flights within domestic Norway.
If you are traveling outside of Europe, there will be two food servings regardless of travel class, and no buffet serving in business class. Please note that the onboard offering of food and beverage will be temporarily limited and will be different than what you are used to when traveling with us. We apologize for this inconvenience.
You are allowed to bring light snacks and non-alcoholic beverages on board SAS flights. Examples of light snacks include a chocolate bar, a sandwich or similar. When eating the light snack, you may remove the required face mask, as long as it is put on again as soon as you are done. Meals such as salads or take-away food are not allowed to bring onboard.
We have implemented these measures to limit the contact associated with handling waste from consumption of food and beverages onboard.

SAS Lounges
SAS Lounges
We have a limited number of Lounges open due to the Covid-19 situation. The Gold lounge at Stockholm, the Gold lounge at Copenhagen and the Domestic lounge at Oslo, are open and welcomes SAS Business, SAS Plus and Star Alliance Business passengers in addition to the eligible EuroBonus and STAR members.
The safety of our travelers and staff is always our highest priority. The lounge experience will be adapted to the current situation, offering limited food service with part pre-packaged items and part buffé, but with extended cleaning procedures and a strong focus on keeping safe distances and minimizing interactions. No alcoholic beverages will be served in the lounge, as is the case onboard SAS flights. We continue to monitor the situation closely and adapt the travel experience accordingly.
The SAS lounges are an important part of the customer experience and the EuroBonus community.
These lounges are open:• Stockholm-Arlanda: The Gold Lounge, will be closed 24th, 25th and 31st of December.
• Copenhagen-Kastrup: The Gold Lounge, will be closed 24th, 25th and 31st of December.
• Oslo-Gardermoen: The Domestic Lounge
Opening hours are irregular due to the current COVID-19 situation, opening hours are posted outside the lounge. All other lounges remain closed until further notice.

SAS Upgrade
From 01 September 2020 SAS bidding for an Upgrade have opened up again as normal. The onboard offering of food and beverage will be temporary limited and different from what you are used to when traveling with us. Also, SAS lounges havent't been re-opened on all destinations yet. Unaccompanied minor – children traveling alone
Due to the current situation SAS has decided to suspend our unaccompanied minor service between 23 March and 31 May 2021 for Intra-Scandinavian and International flights.
Unaccompanied minor service on domestic flights in Scandinavia is permitted except for transfer flights.If you have purchased a ticket with unaccompanied minor service for travel during this period, you can reschedule the trip to a date after 31 May 2021 or apply for a SAS Travel Voucher. The voucher is of full value of the original ticket and can be used for future travel with SAS.

Change of terminal in Hamburg 10 November 2020
As passenger traffic continues to decline at Hamburg airport it´s decided to consolidate traffic to only one Terminal. Therefore SAS traffic will move from Terminal 2 to Terminal 1 on 10 November 2020 until further notice.
