Road trip on Route 66

A good way to see different parts of the US is to take a road trip on Route 66, one of the most famous drives in the world. Explore America by car as the highway takes you through several states – from the starting point in Chicago to the end in Santa Monica. Travel past neon road signs and amazing scenery as you speed through the heart of the US.

Route 66 originally ran from Chicago, Illinois, through Missouri, Kansas, Oklahoma, Texas, New Mexico, and Arizona before ending in Santa Monica, California, covering a total of 3 940 kilometers.

As the song says: Get your kicks on Route 66.

At NASA’s Space Center Houston you can touch a real moon rock and experience space through some of the 400 space artifacts you’ll find here. Pretend you’re an astronaut yourself as you feel what it’s like to travel through space in one of the simulators.

The space center has a full-scale shuttle replica, which is mounted on top of the original shuttle carrier aircraft NASA 905. Go inside the eight-story structure and explore the shuttle Independence.

Do you want to travel in even more comfort? You can always upgrade your SAS flight ticket to the next travel class. This gives you access to Fast Track, SAS Lounges, priority boarding, free WiFi (when available) and complimentary meals & snacks onboard.
