You may bring limited liquids in your carry-on:

• Max 100 ml per container (toothpaste, lotion, perfume, etc.)

• Containers must fit into a 1L resealable plastic bag.

Larger containers including bottles of alcohol (even if partially filled) must be packed in checked baggage. Exceptions include baby milk/formula needed for the flight and any medications or injections for personal use (carried in a separate bag).

Fragile items or items of special value should always be packed in your carry-on and never in checked baggage. This includes important documents, passports, cash, prescription medications, glasses, keys, lamps, mirrors, musical instruments (unless in a hard case), technical equipment (cameras, laptops, phones, etc.) and jewelry. SAS is not responsible for any loss, delay or damage to any of these items if they are carried in checked baggage.

For safe transport, all instruments must be packed in a secure hard case, whether carried on board or checked in. Soft cases are not permitted. You can bring small instruments on board as a carry-on, provided they meet our maximum weight and size requirements. If your instrument exceeds our carry-on limits but measures between 90 × 20 × 10 cm and 150 × 35 × 50 cm, and weighs no more than 75 kg, you can book an extra seat by contacting SAS Customer Service. Please ensure the case has handles so it can be secured with a seatbelt.

Instruments that fit within your baggage allowance (max 32 kg) can be checked in or added as extra baggage.

If you have a connecting flight, the baggage policy of the first airline applies. Log in to My trips to see the baggage you can bring on your trip and then check the other airline’s website for more details.

The number of bags included free of charge depends on your ticket and EuroBonus membership status. If you already have a trip booked, you'll see your baggage allowance under My trips or in the SAS app.

Fees for adding baggage are shown during the booking process or under My trips. You can add baggage for just one way or a return trip.

Hunting and sporting weapons are allowed as checked baggage for a fee that you pay at the airport, but must be booked and approved by contacting SAS Customer Service. Please note that you must possess a valid firearm license and ensure the weapon is unloaded and, if possible, taken apart and packed separately. Ammunition weighing up to 5 kg may be carried but must be packed in its original packaging and carried in a bag separate from the weapon. If you're traveling with a firearm, we recommend checking in at least 2 hours before departure to complete the necessary paperwork and security checks. It's also a good idea to allow extra time for connecting flights. Upon arrival, contact SAS Arrival Service or a handling agent to arrange weapon delivery.

If you have lost an item while traveling with us or at the airport, please contact the airport’s lost and found. All items found in the terminal, at security, at the gates, or on board are handled there.

SAS Customer Service cannot help with lost items.
