FAQs
How do I cancel a booking?
Just log in to My trips, select Cancel or refund and follow the instructions. If you need help, contact SAS Customer Service
Can I cancel just one ticket or flight in a booking?
Yes. Just log in to My trips, select Cancel or refund, choose the traveler or flight you want to cancel and follow the instructions.
What if I cancel only part of a trip?
If you book a refundable round-trip ticket and cancel the return trip, the amount refunded will depend on the price for a one-way ticket for the flight you traveled on, and you’ll receive your refund once you’ve completed your trip. For example, if you buy a refundable round-trip ticket from Copenhagen to New York, but you apply for a refund for the return trip to Copenhagen, your refund will be the amount that exceeds the fare for a one-way ticket to New York.
When will I receive my refund?
Once we’ve processed your refund, we’ll email you to let you know how much will be refunded, unless you paid in points and cash. Refunds are issued to the original payment method you used to buy your ticket, and you’ll see the refund in your account within 7 days.
Can I get a refund if I get sick?
Check your travel or home insurance policy to see what is covered.
What if my visa is rejected or my passport expires soon and I’m denied boarding?
You are responsible for ensuring you have the travel documents you need to travel and for knowing about passport expiration regulations.
If you’re denied boarding for these reasons, any refund will depend on your ticket type, except for visa rejections for travel to/from China or India. If you’re denied boarding on a flight to/from China or India because your visa has been rejected, you can cancel your trip and request a refund by uploading a copy of the official visa refusal.
What if there is a death in my family and I can't travel?
In the event of the death of an immediate family member, we’ll help you cancel your trip and refund your ticket
Will I get my EuroBonus points back if my ticket is refundable?
Yes, if your points are still valid.
What if I cancel my trip and then SAS cancels the flight?
If you canceled your trip before your flight was canceled by SAS, your refund will depend on the ticket rules
Will I get a refund for all of the taxes included in my ticket?
Most taxes are refunded for non-refundable tickets, except for YQ, YR, NV/XS, US and ZP taxes.
Can I cancel just one person in a booking with multiple travelers?
Yes. If the booking includes multiple travelers, you can cancel an individual traveler online without canceling the entire booking.
