Get away from the bright city lights and try to catch the Northern lights. From late September to late March northern Norway is dark from early afternoon until late morning, and the northern lights frequently dance across the sky. During the summer months you’ll get 24 hours of sunlight above the Arctic circle as the sun never sets. During this time of the year northern Norway has 76 days of midnight sun. Even further north – in Svalbard – they have four months of Midnight sun.

Take the Flåm Railway
Hop on the Flåmsbana Railway and enjoy one of the most beautiful train rides of your life. The train runs from the end of Aurlandsfjord up to the high mountains at Myrdal station and takes you through some breathtaking Norwegian scenery. If you look out the window you’ll see the Kjofossen waterfall, which provides the Flåm Railway with electricity.
