About SAF
SAF can reduce lifecycle CO2 emissions compared to conventional jet fuel, depending on the specific production pathway and feedstock used.
SAF supplied to SAS is delivered at selected major airports in Scandinavia and is blended with conventional jet fuel in accordance with current technical and regulatory requirements.
All SAS aircraft are certified to operate using approved SAF blends within applicable limits.
SAF fuel sources
SAS only uses certified and aviation fuels made from sources that do not affect the general availability of crops used for food production, access to drinking water, biodiversity or land.
