If you require special food for dietary, religious or nutritional reasons you can order special meals on SAS-operated flights.
Special meals are offered on flights with meal service. Special meals are available when traveling on to/from Asia and the US. Also eligible for travelers in SAS Plus on flights longer than 80 minutes within Europe or to/from Eilat or Beirut. If you decide to order a special meal it will replace the standard meal.
Request your special meal at least 24 hours before your flights departure by contacting Customer Service.
Spicy vegetarian meal with limited use of dairy products. Only available on flights to Asia and the US.
Meal without meat, dairy products, honey and egg.
Vegetarian meal that may contain dairy products and egg.
No pork, beef or raw/smoked fish. Only available on flights to Asia or the US.
Meal prepared according to Jewish dietary customs.
Meal without pork, gelatin or alcohol. Mainly vegetarian meals, no halal.
Meal adapted to travelers with lactose and gluten intolerance.
Light meal for travelers with gastro-intestinal problems.
Meal for infants (0–2 years). Can only be ordered on flights to Asia or the US.
Meal adapted to children (2–11 years). Available on European flights and flights to/from Asia or the US, departing from 09.30 local time.
We don’t serve peanuts as inflight snacks or as a meal ingredient. If you’re allergic to peanuts, always notify the cabin staff when you board the plane, so they can inform other travelers of your allergy.
Other types of allergens such as nuts, seeds and legumes are available as snacks or meal ingredients on SAS flights. Unfortunately, it is not possible for us to restrict these.
All our meals are prepared on premises where nuts and other allergens are present. For this reason, there is a risk that traces of nuts and other allergens may be present, even in cases where the allergen is not part of a recipe or listed as an ingredient.
