cancel booking due to death in family
We're very sorry to hear about your loss. We'll help you cancel and refund your tickets.
In the case of death of an immediate family member, you can cancel a trip booked directly through SAS. You do this by uploading a copy of the death certificate. You can upload documents for yourself and up to 9 other travelers below. The relationship between the traveler and the deceased must be confirmed. Kindly note that official documentation from governing body must be submitted.
If you don’t want to cancel all the travelers in the booking you need to contact SAS Customer Service.
If you purchased your ticket through a travel agent, please contact them for cancellation and refund.
Your tickets will be refunded, provided unused, by the same payment method as the initial purchase.
Please note that full refund will only be given to the immediate family of the deceased. For travelers not related to the deceased cancellations and refunds will be processed according to fare rules. At SAS we consider spouse, co-habitant partner, children, parents, siblings, grandparents, grandchildren, mother/father-in-law, brother/sister-in-law, and son/daughter-in law to be immediate family.
We'll send a confirmation to the email address in your booking as soon as we can. If you have any questions or need help, contact SAS Customer Service.
We’ll send confirmation that we’ve received your files to the email address in your booking and get back to you soon.
