Nut policy / food allergy
Peanuts, or products containing peanuts, are not served as snacks or as an ingredient in meals onboard SAS flights. All other kinds of nuts/allergens, or products containing nuts, are served. It is not possible to restrict the serving.
Other allergens, e.g. tree nuts, eggs, soy, milk protein are present in the SAS menus and cannot be 100% reduced. This is because SAS meals are prepared in catering kitchens where other allergens are handled.
Inform the cabin crew
Travelers with peanut allergy can contact the cabin crew when boarding the aircraft to make it easier onboard. The crew can then make a relevant announcement in cooperation with the traveler. Announcement can only be made for peanut allergy, not when allergic to other type of nuts.
SAS cannot restrict or omit the serving of other allergens than peanuts.
