Why do I have to wear a face mask on board?

  • Like most other airlines operating globally, we work closely with international authorities and regulators. One of these is EASA – the European Union’s Aviation Safety Agency. SAS has chosen to follow EASA’s recommendations, and one of these is the advice to wear face masks when traveling.

  • Wearing a face mask is not just for protecting you. By wearing a face mask, you help protect other travelers as well, as face masks blocks others from droplets caused by sneezing or coughing.

  • We are continuously evaluating the need for wearing face masks onboard.
