EuroBonus points
The difference between EuroBonus points starts with the way you earn them. You earn Basic points when you fly, while you earn Extra points from our non-airline partners. You earn Status points when you apply for and use certain credit cards. The points that you can use for purchases are available for 4-5 years.

You earn Basic points when flying on SAS, Widerøe and Star Alliance airlines
Basic points help you maintain or reach a higher membership level
You can use Basic points for flights, hotel stays, upgrades, and shopping
You don't earn Basic points on bonus trips or when traveling with SAS Charter
Extra points
You earn Extra points with our non-airline partners and with certain airlines
You earn Extra points on everything you purchase with our EuroBonus payment cards
You earn Extra points when you add biofuel to your trip with SAS
You can use Extra points to pay for flights, hotel stays, upgrades and shopping in EuroBonus Shop
Status points
You can earn Status points when you apply for and use selected EuroBonus credit cards
You can earn Status points through limited-time member offers
Status points help you reach a higher membership level, just like Basic points
Status Points earned through offers won't be displayed in your list of recent activities
You can't use Status points for purchases
