Baggage

Your baggage allowance depends on your ticket type, destination and EuroBonus membership level. When you book your trip, you’ll see what baggage is included in your ticket. If you already have a flight booked, log in to My trips to see what is included.

  • Carry-on baggage
  • Checked baggage

  • Restricted items
  • Damaged baggage
  • Delayed baggage

Special baggage

Any item exceeding 158 cm in total (length + width + height) is considered special baggage. This includes strollers, sports equipment, musical instruments, wheelchairs and other oversized items.

Special baggage is free if it fits within the baggage allowance in your ticket. Otherwise, you'll need to pay a fee.

Please also note that you may not pack extra items in special baggage. 

How to book special baggage

You can add your golf bag, skis, snowboard or bike when you book your trip or under My trips at least 24 hours before departure. If your flight is departing within 24 hours, contact SAS Customer Service for help. For other types of special baggage, just contact SAS Customer Service.

Availability is limited per flight, so it's a good idea to book your special baggage as early as possible.
