SAS will cover reasonable expenses for meals during the waiting time. SAS will also cover the costs for two phone calls and, if the delay includes an overnight stay, accommodation and transport between the hotel and the airport.

If your flight is canceled and you choose not to travel you can apply for a refund for the unused part of the ticket.
Please note that in accordance with Montreal Convention Article 19, SAS is not liable to cover indirect costs such as loss of prepaid hotel nights or loss of income. Please check with your travel insurer if they will cover these costs.
According to EU regulation 261/2004, a passenger has no right to compensation if the delay or cancellation was caused by an industrial action, which is considered as an extraordinary circumstance.
