Applies when your bag weights 23–32 kg (excess weight) or exceeds the standard size of 158 cm (length + width + height). Please note that for flights to and from Greenland, a maximum checked baggage weight of 30 kg is allowed.

Baggage allowance

Your baggage allowance is generally determined by the marketing airline of the longest flight in your itinerary. If the longest flight is marketed as SK, SAS baggage policy applies. If any flight in your ticket is marketed with another airline code, you’re flying with one of our partners and your baggage allowance may be different.

Special rules for travel to/from and within US and Canada

The airline code of the first marketing airline determines which baggage policy that will apply for the entire out- or inbound journey.

Pre-pay checked baggage

You can only pre-pay for checked baggage if the flights in your ticket is operated by SK (SAS), or if the flight number(s) on your ticket is within the range between SK3000 – 3099 operated by WF (Wideroe) or SK8400 – 8499 operated by A3 (Aegean). SAS baggage fees apply. Otherwise you must purchase baggage at the airport for a fee determined by the operating airline of the first flight of your out- or inbound journey.

Available for purchase online for all travelers, the charge applies to 20-minute blocks of SAF per flight.
