Flights to Germany

Germany might be known for its beer – but they also produce wine, particularly in the western part of the country.

The Mosel region is one of the most well-known wine regions in Germany, and it is easy to reach from Frankfurt. About half of the wine produced here is a Riesling. In Mosel you’ll find some of the oldest wineries in Germany – and with over 100 wineries you’re bound to find something you like.

See Munich from above

Munich has plenty of viewpoints from where you can see the city from above. Take the 300+ steps to the top of the tower Alte Peter to get a view of Marienplatz square and the Viktualienmarkt market. On a clear day you can see the alps in the distance from the church’s 91-meter tower.

If you don’t fancy climbing stairs you can always take the lift to the viewing platform of the Rathaus tower. From up there you’ll get a great view of Munich’s old town. Or stay on the ground and watch the famous daily Glockenspiel in the tower.

In the Olympiapark, constructed for the 1972 summer Olympics, you’ll find the Olympic tower. From the 190-meter high platform you’ll have a beautiful view of Munich and the peak the alps.
