Travel info

- bring your own or let us provide it

  • If you need oxygen to and from your flight or onboard the flight itself, you can bring your own. Oxygen can be taken as check-in baggage or cabin baggage as long as it does not exceed the cabin baggage allowance (maximum height 55 cm x width 40 cm x depth 23 cm/22" x 16" x 9", maximum weight 8 kg/17 lbs.).

  • When you bring your own oxygen, you must make a reservation before the flight and register the number of canisters you will carry. Contact SAS Medical Sales so they can inform the check-in staff that you will have oxygen with you.

  • Note: Liquid oxygen is not allowed as it is considered dangerous goods.

  • We can provide medical oxygen from AGA if it is booked in advance. You must fill in a Medical Information Form (MEDIF). Permission will be granted by the SAS Medical Department. Download MEDIF form here

  • Oxygen and medical equipment necessary for life preservation can be taken on board free of charge. In other cases, the fee for installing supplemental oxygen is €335 for intercontinental flights & €150 for other SAS flights.
