What is code-share?

Code-share flight stands for when an airline sells tickets under it's name for flights operated by a partner carrier. Flights that are code-share have two (or more) flight numbers, one for each airline participating, for example code-share number SK8759 between Chicago - Dallas is operated by United Airlines UA643.

The booking class shown on the code-share ticket could be another booking class for the operating carrier.
