From Kirkenes, you can take the famous Hurtigruten to any of the 34 ports on the way to Bergen. An 11-day journey along the magnificent coastal line of Northern Norway.
Any trip around the North Cape is a unique nature experience, but for bird lovers, this is a highlight. The boat tour leaves from Gjesvær, 9 miles (15 km) from the North Cape, and takes about 10 minutes. Bring binoculars as visitors are not allowed to set foot on the island.
North Cape Cliff
The North Cape cliffs are astonishing. We stayed a few nights in the area and took a King Crab tour, which is great. After catching a few of these giants, the guides prepared them over an open fire. Delicious!
