Fly into Gothenburg Landvetter Airport's international terminal from London, Munich, Barcelona or further afield and you'll be guaranteed a pleasant experience.
Built in 1977, Landvetter is Sweden's second-largest airport after Stockholm Arlanda. It's convenient for getting to Gothenburg, Sweden's second-largest city, and Sweden's beautiful west coast, bringing the city, the country and the seaside within reach.
The airport is 15 miles (25 kilometres) from the city of Gothenburg, which takes about 20 minutes to reach by road. There are frequent buses to Gothenburg Central Station and other stops within the city. Taxis can also take you directly to your destination. It's also easy to hire a car at the airport. Alternatively, why not stay the night? The Landvetter Airport Hotel is just 218 yards (200 metres) from the terminal and has its own restaurant, gym and sauna.
In the airport itself, there is plenty to do. Shop for souvenirs, duty-free goods and local culinary specialties while the kids hang out in the play area. Take a break at a restaurant or café, where you can enjoy everything from fresh sushi to typical Swedish coffee and pastry. The "Hall of Plane – The Parts of Flying" interactive exhibition in the departure hall is an artistic and educational gallery about aviation for enthusiasts and casual visitors alike.
Need to find local information or tell your friends and family that you've arrived? Stay in touch with free WiFi access in the terminal.
For businesspeople, there are conference facilities and meeting rooms. You can even get married at the terminal in a church or civil ceremony!
Whether you're staying in or around Gothenburg or travelling onward, choose Landvetter Airport as your gateway.
