Transfer at Oslo Airport

Connecting Norway - important information regarding custom clearance at Oslo Airport

Connecting Norway pilot project for easier transfers in Oslo (Gardemoen):
  • The service improves your experience if you're traveling from Aberdeen, Billund, Copenhagen, Dublin, Helsinki, London, Manchester, Miami, Munchen, New York, Reykjavik, Stockholm to Oslo and will be continuing domestically with SAS or Wideroe.
  • You don't need to pick up your baggage and re-check it – it is checked through to your final destination. You also skip another security check, speeding up your passage.
  • You walk directly from your flight to a new customs area in the international departures hall and pass through customs. From there you head directly to the domestic departures hall.

If you only have carry-on and you have a through ticket with SAS or Wideroe to a domestic destination,
you can also benefit from Connecting Norway:

  • You avoid having to walk down and out through the arrivals hall, through customs and to a new security check before going to the domestic hall. This applies to all international arrivals in Oslo with SAS except for flights from Salzburg, Split, Pula, Alanya, Dubrovnik and Faro.
  • If you have checked in your baggage, you have to go down and pick up your baggage and take it yourself through the customs declaration area in the arrivals hall.
If you are carrying firearms or animals, you can really benefit by using Connecting Norway.
