Copenhagen Airport is located on the island of Amager 8 km (5 miles) southwest of central Copenhagen in the city of Kastrup.
The airport is the main airport of SAS and also Scandinavia's main airport. From Copenhagen, SAS has a well developed network and a high number of frequencies to many destinations, even in peak periods. This gives you as a passenger great flexibility. SAS is also a member of Star Alliance. Star Alliance consists of 27 international airlines that collectively fly to 1356 airports in 193 countries.
The minimum connection time for flights within the Schengen Area at Copenhagen Airport is 30 minutes from the time you land until your onward connection departs (with the exception of flights to Aalborg and Aarhus). There are staff in the terminal area who will direct you to your next gate. Similarly, we will announce departure details for your onward connection onboard.
Easy to get to, from and around
When you are at the airport, everything is within walking distance. You do not need to take various airport buses around to get from terminal to terminal or to the shopping area.
From the airport, it is possible to travel to the city center several times an hour by bus, metro or train.
DSB, the national rail operator, has its own ticket office in Terminal 3 where you can buy your ticket to the city center or elsewhere in Denmark. In addition, there are self-service check-in kiosks at the main train station, so you can check in ahead of time.
At Kastrup Airport, there are countless opportunities for shopping. In 48 specialty shops, you will find all the famous brands, while the 16 tax-free shops have one of the world's largest selections of perfumes, cosmetics, spirits and confectioneries.
In addition to the many exciting shops, there are also several restaurants, bars and cafés in the transit area.
