- bring your own or let us provide it
If you need oxygen
to and from your flight or onboard the flight itself, you can bring your own. Oxygen can be taken as check-in baggage or cabin baggage as long as it does not exceed the cabin baggage allowance (maximum height 55 cm x width 40 cm x depth 23 cm/22" x 16" x 9", maximum weight 8 kg/17 lbs.).
When you bring your own oxygen, you must make a reservation before the flight
and register the number of canisters you will carry. Contact
SAS Medical Sales
so they can inform the check-in staff that you will have oxygen with you.
Note: Liquid oxygen is not allowed as it is considered dangerous goods
We can provide medical oxygen
from AGA if it is booked in advance. You must fill in a Medical Information Form (MEDIF). Permission will be granted by the SAS Medical Department.
Download MEDIF form here
Oxygen and medical equipment necessary for life preservation can be taken on board free of charge.
In other cases, the fee for installing supplemental oxygen is €335 for intercontinental flights & €150 for other SAS flights.
