Travel during pregnancy

  • For safety reasons for both the mother and child, there are a number of restrictions on how late a passenger can fly before the expected due date. Please see the chart below.

  • We also advise you to check your coverage with your travel insurance provider what periods of pregnancy your insurance covers.

  • If you would like to add an infant to your booking or make a name change after you have purchased your ticket, contact SAS Customer Contact Center for more information.

  • Other rules may apply for travel while pregnant if you are flying with our partners. Check with the operating airline for more details.
