A small and fantastic restaurant, with an outdoor terrace overlooking the old harbour. The price, service and food quality are all unbeliebly good: you can get a delicious-tasting and innovative five-course tasting menu for only around 42 Euros. You must try their specialty of courgette flower stuffed with a fantastic fish mousse. Be sure to phone ahead to cheeck if they are open, because the owners like to close for a few weeks in July, and dates seems to differ. You don't want to miss this place. Anne Weyde, air hostess Christian Weyde, pilot | Restaurang La Merenda 4 rue Raoul Bosio
No phone, no credit cards and just a few seats. If you wish to have a real and however excellent dinner of traditional "cuisine nicoise" this is were to go. The place got character just as it's owner who left a much more trendy restaurant for the La Merenda. I don't ask why, just happy he did. José | Villefranche-sur-Mer
Nice has mostly pebble beaches, we took off for Villefranche-sur-Mer, a small town only twenty minutes away by the TAM 100 bus and great sandy beaches. Charlotte |
