February to August every year
the Island of Runde is visited by
half a million birds. They have registered some 230 species,
among them the Puffin and the
mighty Sea Eagle.
The boat trip doesn't take long
and its not exhausting like hiking
but still, pretty amazing.

This waterfall is really cool
and a good photo opportunity.
Make sure to be here before
the tourists comes along
though. We were here early
and got some nice shots, by
the time we were leaving there
was a crowd. Avoid that.

There are a number of cruises
avaliable leaving from Ålesund
going further north or south.
Pick one that includes the
Geirangerfjord. The Fjord is on
the UNESCO's World Heritage
List and for good reasons.
It's really quite amazing, just as
long as the weather is ok. So
check out the weather report
before you buy the ticket!
