You can bring one pet per passenger into the cabin if the animal is placed in a transport box under the seat in front of you during the entire flight. Only a certain number of animals are permitted onboard for each departure, so please book your place well in advance if you want to ensure your pet will be allowed in the cabin. Large cages are not permitted on our 737 aircraft. Please note that other animals besides cats and dogs are welcome to fly with us as cargo. Exceptions apply for the UK and Ireland and are detailed below.
Pets and transport boxes are taken as cabin baggage and other cabin baggage is not permitted. The cage in which the animal is shipped must be locked and placed under the seat in front of you during takeoff and landing. The transport box should be placed on the floor in front of you during the entire flight. For the animal's comfort, the cage must be large enough so that the animal can stand up, turn and lie naturally. If the cage does not fulfill the requirements, check-in staff can reject the cage.
We recommend that you transport your pet in a small Sherpa Bag model - a soft bag that is accepted by SAS for transporting cats and dogs. The bag can be purchased in pet shops. You can also use another bag brand as long as it meets the requirements.
