SAS Smart Pass - the smart way to travel!
In order to make the trip through the airport even easier, we have launched a new product: the SAS Smart Pass. With the SAS Smart Pass, you can quickly and easily identify yourself the whole way through the airport.
What is the SAS Smart Pass?
The SAS Smart Pass gives you a fast, efficient and easy way through the airport. Use the SAS Smart Pass to check in and register your baggage at our self-service terminals, at security control, in the SAS lounge and when you board your flights. Identify yourself by holding up your SAS Smart Pass against the reader at the airport where you would normally use a boarding pass. We recommend that you attach the Smart Pass on your mobile phone so it is always with you when you fly. The Smart Pass works even when your phone is off.
Who can use the SAS Smart Pass?
The SAS Smart Pass is available for EuroBonus Gold members with a residential address in Scandinavia.
How do I use the SAS Smart Pass?
Attach the SAS Smart Pass on your mobile phone and hold it up in front of the reader so it can retrieve your reservation - fast and simple. Your EuroBonus number is integrated into the SAS Smart Pass and is visible on the pass. The reader is easy to recognize - it has the same symbol as the Smart Pass.
Where and when can I use the SAS Smart Pass?
You can use your Smart Pass when travelling on domestic flights with SAS and Widerøe in the three Scandinavian countries and when travelling from one Scandinavian country to countries in the Schengen Area.
The SAS Smart Pass can be used for check-in and at security control and the gate. We have also installed readers for SAS Fast Track and at SAS Lounges.
What kind of technology does the SAS Smart Pass use?
The SAS Smart Pass is based on NFC (near field communication), the latest in mobile technology. NFC is a wireless communications technology that allows data exchanges between devices within 5 cm of each other. Your SAS Smart Pass is a sticker that we recommend that you attach on the back of your mobile phone*. The SAS Smart Pass contains an NFC antenna with a transmitter that activates when you hold the Smart Pass in front of a reader.
*If your mobile has NFC, please do not attach the SAS Smart Pass onto your mobile because the Smart Pass can interfere with the mobile's NFC function (if turned on). You can attach your Smart Pass onto another object that is not made of metal that you have when you travel.
What do I do if I lose my Smart Pass or it does not work?
Please order a new one through the My EuroBonus pages.
