Scandinavian Airlines System (SAS) is introducing self-print boarding passes to the UK. Now up and running the service will allow SAS UK customers will be able to print their own boarding passes when they check-in online, allowing a quicker transition through airports.
Self-print boarding passes will be accepted on all SAS services from London Heathrow, London City, Aberdeen, Birmingham and Manchester airports.
The new SAS self-print boarding pass has a barcode that is unique to each traveller and allows customers to proceed straight to airport security, where the barcode is checked with a scanner, streamlining the airport experience. Passengers wishing to place baggage in the hold can use the SAS Self Service Kiosks at the airport and deposit their luggage at the fast bag drop facility.
SAS online facilities allows check-in up to 22 hours before a flight is due to depart and also allows customers to select or change their seat and make changes to the class in which they are travelling.

In particular short stay business travellers travelling with only hand luggage will be able to dramatically streamline their airport experience, making business travel more convenient and expedient.”
Business travellers can also benefit from SAS’ unique one-way fare structure, allowing customers to combine fares across different classes, for example allowing customers to fly out in Business Class and return in Economy or Economy Extra, allowing greater flexibility for business plans and travel arrangements.
SAS operate a full business and economy services on all flights, in addition to its unique premium economy service, Economy Extra. Economy Extra provides SAS customers with fully flexible fares with no restrictions. Economy Extra passengers are seated in a dedicated area between the business and economy sections, they receive a complimentary meal with drinks and can earn extra frequent flyer points.
