From 1 June the airline will operate a twice weekly service from London Gatwick to the gateway to the Norwegian fjords. All flights will be operated by an 124 seater Boeing 737.
SAS will operate an Economy Class service on all flights, in addition to its unique premium economy service, Economy Extra.
Economy Extra provides SAS customers travelling on business with an efficient service which includes business class check in facilities and fully flexible fares with no restrictions. Economy Extra passengers are seated in a dedicated area in front of the economy section, receive a complimentary meal with drinks and can earn extra frequent flyer points.
Lars-Ove Filipson, General Manager United Kingdom & Ireland, Scandinavian Airlines System said:
“This new route is very exciting for SAS. We now have a substantial offering from London to Scandinavia and our growth in services from other London airports is testament to the increasing demand we have seen from our growing passenger base. This new service from Gatwick will complement our existing Norwegian services to Bergen and provide travellers with a quick and easy way to get to the breathtaking Fjords.”
